The Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has forecast that the ongoing mild to moderate heat wave affecting five regions of the country may ease in some areas within the next 24 hours, starting from 9 am today.

According to a bulletin issued this morning, the heat wave is currently impacting Rangpur, Rajshahi, and Mymensingh divisions, as well as the districts of Sylhet and Jashore. However, relief is expected in certain locations as conditions improve.

Additionally, light to moderate rain or thundershowers, accompanied by temporary gusty winds, are likely in many areas of Dhaka, Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram, and Sylhet divisions. A few locations in Rangpur, Rajshahi, and Mymensingh divisions may also experience similar weather, with the possibility of moderately heavy to heavy rainfall in certain places.

Despite these conditions, day and night temperatures are expected to remain relatively unchanged across the country.
