US Bangla Group has inaugurated its latest venture, “Take Trip Limited,” a travel agency that commenced operations with an exclusive event hosted at The Standard, Huruwalhi resort in the Maldives, as outlined in an official press release.

With a focus on catering to the growing travel trade in Bangladesh, which is expanding at an impressive rate of approximately 10% annually, “Take Trip” plans to distinguish itself by providing comprehensive support to its B2B agents. Supported by US Bangla Airline, the agency aims to deliver unmatched assistance through leading commission structures, group ticketing facilities, holiday package support, and exclusive fares from various airlines.

The dynamic team leading “Take Trip” is spearheaded by Daraz Mahmud, the former Regional Head of Travelport GDS for Bangladesh and Nepal. The team comprises industry veterans, including Mahdee Kabir, former head of sales for IndiGo in Bangladesh, and Nuruddin Sharif, who brings a wealth of experience from various airlines.

Emphasizing the immense potential in the travel industry, Daraz Mahmud notes that only a fraction of the sector has been tapped by online travel agencies, leaving substantial room for expansion. Aligning with the vision of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina for a Digital Bangladesh, “Take Trip Limited” aims to support emerging entrepreneurs by providing technical expertise and industry know-how, contributing to the growth of the tourism and employment sectors.
