Prime Islami Life Insurance Announce their Dividend, Q1 & Q2 FInancials

Q1 Financials: Prime Islami Life Insurance has posted a deficit of BDT 746.92 million for the first quarter of 2024, slightly improving from the BDT 751.18 million deficit reported in the same period of 2023. According to the company’s consolidated life revenue account for January to March 2024, total expenses, including claims, continued to exceed total income.

As a result, the Balance of the Life Insurance Fund stood at BDT 6,826.58 million as of March 31, 2024, down by BDT 135.57 million from BDT 6,962.15 million as of March 31, 2023.

Q2 Financials: Prime Islami Life Insurance has recorded a surplus of BDT 38.58 million in the second quarter of 2024, a significant improvement from the BDT 56.10 million deficit reported during the same period in 2023. The company’s consolidated life revenue account for April to June 2024 reflects an excess of total income over total expenses, including claims.

However, on a half-yearly basis, the situation remains challenging. For the period from January to June 2024, Prime Islami Life Insurance reported a deficit of BDT 708.34 million, a slight improvement from the BDT 807.29 million deficit recorded in the corresponding period of 2023.

As of June 30, 2024, the Balance of the Life Insurance Fund stood at BDT 6,865.15 million, down by BDT 40.89 million compared to BDT 6,906.04 million as of June 30, 2023.
