Toll collection at the Mohakhali toll plaza of the Dhaka Elevated Expressway resumed today (22 August) after a temporary halt due to damage from recent unrest.
Officials from the First Dhaka Elevated Expressway Company Limited reported that the toll collection process recommenced around 12:30 pm, utilizing a temporary booth set up for manual operations.
The Mohakhali and Banani-2 toll plazas had suffered extensive damage during arson attacks linked to the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement protests.
