Mixed Performance in South Asian Stock Markets This Past Week

A review of South Asian stock markets shows that India’s Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) index BSE Sensex has lost  1,276 points during the week. At the end of the week, the index stood at 79,705 points. On the other hand, the Nifty-50 index of the country’s National Stock Exchange lost by 350 points last week. At the end of the week, the index stood at 24,367 points.

Pakistan Stock Exchange Index ‘KSE 100’, added 289 points last week. After a week of gaining, the index settled at 78,529 points.

On the other hand, The Sri Lankan stock market index adds, and the Colombo Stock Exchange index ‘ASPI’ decreased by 330 points in a week. After a week the index settled at 11,303 points.

Bhutan’s stock market index ‘BSI’ added 14 point hence the index stood at 1,500 points throughout the whole week. Nepal’s ‘NEPSE’ added 11 points, therefore the index stands at 2,766 points.

Hence Dhaka Stock Exchange: The benchmark index ‘DSEX’ added by 590.87 points or 11.08 percent, in the outgoing week. At the end of the week, the index stands at 5,924 points.
