New Appointments in Bangladesh Army Leadership

The Bangladesh Army has undergone a significant reshuffle in its top positions. Major General Ziaul Ahsan has been dismissed from service, according to an ISPR press release issued today.

The release stated that Lieutenant General Md Saiful Alam has been assigned to the Foreign Ministry, while Lieutenant General Md Mujibur Rahman has been appointed as the General Officer Commanding (GOC) of the Army Training and Doctrine Command. Additionally, Lieutenant General Ahmed Tabrez Shams Chowdhury has taken on the role of Quartermaster General of the Army, Lieutenant General Mizanur Rahman Shameem has been named Chief of General Staff, and Lieutenant General Mohammad Shaheenul Haque has been appointed Commandant of the National Defence College (NDC).

Furthermore, Major General ASM Ridwanur Rahman has been appointed as the Director General of the National Telecommunication Monitoring Center (NTMC).
