Bajus Raises Gold Rates Again

Gold Prices Dip by Tk1,750 Per Bhori

The Bangladesh Jewellers Association (Bajus) announced today (7 July) a significant hike in gold prices, raising them by Tk1,609 per bhori due to rising costs in the local bullion market.

Starting Monday (8 July), the price of 22-carat gold will be Tk1,18,891 per bhori, up from the previous rate of Tk1,17,288.

For 21-carat gold, the new price is set at Tk1,13,491 per bhori, while 18-carat gold will cost Tk97,278 per bhori. The traditional method gold price has been adjusted to Tk80,423 per bhori.

This adjustment follows earlier price increases on 25 and 11 June, and a subsequent reduction on 1 July. The fluctuating rates reflect ongoing volatility in the domestic gold market.
