The Meteorological Department forecasts rain or thundershowers with gusty winds in various divisions of Bangladesh over the next 24 hours.

Khulna division is expected to experience rainfall in many areas, while Rajshahi, Dhaka, Barisal, Chittagong, and Sylhet divisions may see showers in a few places. Rangpur and Mymensingh divisions might also witness rainfall in one or two places. Mild heatwave conditions persist in Rangamati and Nilphamari districts and the Sitakunda region, but are expected to subside. Both day and night temperatures are anticipated to decrease slightly across the country.

The maximum temperature recorded on Monday was 36.0 degrees Celsius, while the minimum temperature on Tuesday was 14.8 degrees Celsius. Rajshahi experienced the highest rainfall in the last 24 hours, with 6 millimetres recorded. A westerly low lies over West Bengal and adjacent areas, while a seasonal low prevails over the South Bay. The sun is expected to set at 6:10pm and rise at 6:03am in the capital on Wednesday.
